Ingredients
  

Spices
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon (Plus extra for sprinkling)
  • ½ tsp Ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp Ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp Ground cloves
  • 6 pcs Black peppercorns (Toasted & crushed)
  • 1 whole Whole nutmeg (Toasted then finely grated)
  • 2 bags Black tea bags (Assam or English Breakfast)
  • 2 pods Star anise
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 6 pcs Allspice berries
Liquids and Sweeteners
  • 1 cup Water For steeping tea
  • ¾ cup Whole milk (Or non-dairy substitute)
  • ¼ cup Heavy cream (Or half-and-half) Can substitute with non-dairy creamer
  • 1 TBSP Brown sugar (Adjust to taste)
  • 1 TBSP Honey (Or maple syrup)
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 TBSP Maple syrup (In place of honey) Can be used for sweetening

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Quickly toast the whole spices in a dry pan until fragrant.
  2. Combine all the ground and crushed spices in a small bowl.
  3. Bring water to a vigorous rolling boil.
Steeping
  1. Steep the tea bags with the spices for full flavor.
  2. Whisk in milk, cream, and sweeteners until frothy.

Notes
