For the Tea
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves or 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or to taste
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 2-3 pods cardamom
  • 1-2 pieces cloves
  • 1 piece fresh ginger (sliced)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the black tea leaves or tea bags, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and ginger.
  3. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  4. Add the milk and sugar, and bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Strain the tea into cups and enjoy!
