Ricotta Mixture
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Use fresh ricotta for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Fresh strawberries enhance flavor.
  • Fresh basil leaves Can substitute with mint for a twist.
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch pieces and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
Assembling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and honey; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread a generous amount of the ricotta mixture on each toasted slice of bread.
  3. Top with sliced strawberries and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
