Danish Ingredients
  • 1 package store-bought puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easier mixing.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced Other fruits like blueberries or raspberries can be used.
  • 1 egg (for egg wash) Beaten.
  • to taste none Powdered sugar (for dusting) For decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Place a small dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart shape, then top with diced strawberries.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over slightly and seal with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
