Ingredients
  

For the tea
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative) Can be substituted as per preference
  • 2 teaspoons masala chai powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar Optional
  • 1-2 sticks cinnamon
  • 4-5 pods green cardamom
  • to taste Ginger (fresh or powdered)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the masala chai powder, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, and ginger to the boiling water.
  3. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
  4. Add milk and sugar (if using) to the pot and bring it back to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat and strain the tea into cups.
Serving
  1. Serve spiced tea while it’s hot in your favorite cup.
  2. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a small piece of ginger for extra flavor.
Storage
  1. Let leftover spiced tea cool to room temperature.
  2. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container and consume within 2 days.
  3. Warm it up on the stove or in the microwave before enjoying again.
