Ingredients
  

For the chai mixture
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bags black tea
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4-5 pods green cardamom
  • 4-5 whole cloves
  • 1-2 slices fresh ginger
For serving
  • 1/2 cup milk (or milk alternative) Almond milk, soy milk, or oat milk can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust to taste, can substitute with honey or other sweeteners.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the tea bags, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the milk and sugar, and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the mixture into cups.
  5. Add a splash of vanilla extract and enjoy your cozy beverage!
