Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter. Stir in the baking soda and salt. Mix well.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Stir until combined.
- Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
