Spices
  • 3-4 pieces green cardamom
  • 3 pieces cloves
  • 3 pieces whole black pepper
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 8-10 strands saffron
Liquid Ingredients
  • 1 cup water For brewing the tea
  • 2.5 tsp chai patti (dried tea leaves)
  • 1 cup milk You can use plant-based milk for a vegan option
To Taste
  • to taste sugar Adjust according to preference

Method
 

Brewing the Tea
  1. In a pot, add water, green cardamom, cloves, black pepper, and ginger. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the chai patti and saffron strands. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the milk and bring it to a boil again.
  4. Strain the chai into cups and add sugar to taste.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes
