Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Milk (Any milk works, including dairy-free options.)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (Non-negotiable for a silky texture.)
  • 6 ounces Dark Chocolate (60%-70% cocoa, chopped finely for easy melting.)
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered Sugar (Adjust to taste.)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Enhances chocolate notes.)

Method

Preparation
  1. Chop the chocolate finely so it melts fast.
  2. In a small pot, pour 2 cups milk and 1 cup heavy cream. Warm on medium-low. Do not boil.
  3. When the milk is warm, add the chopped dark chocolate and 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. Stir slowly and gently.
  4. Keep stirring until all the chocolate melts and the liquid is smooth and thick. This takes 3–5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Taste and add more powdered sugar if you want it sweeter.
  6. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
