Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter to the bananas.
- Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts if you’re using them.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
Baking
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

You can serve warm or at room temperature. It's delicious on its own, or you can spread a little butter or cream cheese on top. For storage, keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, a week in the fridge, or freeze for up to 3 months after wrapping tightly.
