Tea Preparation
- Start by boiling the water in a pot. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add the green tea and baking soda.
- Stir the mixture well, then add the star anise, crushed cardamom, cinnamon stick, and salt if desired.
- Let the tea simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes. This brings out all the lovely flavors.
- Remove the pot from heat, and strain the tea into a separate vessel to remove the spices and tea leaves.
Adding Milk and Sweetening
- Add the milk to the strained tea and stir well. You can adjust the amount of milk based on how creamy you want your tea.
- Sweeten your tea with sugar or honey according to your taste. Mix well.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle chopped nuts on top before serving.
