Ingredients
  

For the tea
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons green tea leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
For serving
  • 2 cups milk Whole milk is preferred for a richer flavor.
  • 2-4 tablespoons sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Pistachios and almonds for garnish Chopped.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil water in a saucepan. Add green tea leaves and baking soda. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the water reduces to about half.
  2. Strain the tea into another pot, discarding the leaves.
  3. Whip the tea vigorously for several minutes until it becomes frothy and changes to a pink color.
  4. Add milk and sugar to the whipped tea, and continue to whisk until everything is well combined.
  5. Add cardamom powder and mix again.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped pistachios and almonds.

Notes

Ensure that you whip the tea well to achieve the desired frothy texture. Adjust the sugar to your taste; some like it sweeter, and others prefer it less sweet. For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk.
