Ingredients
  

For the Tea Base
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons green tea leaves (preferably Kashmiri tea leaves) Use high-quality leaves for best results.
  • 4 pods green cardamom, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Adjust carefully to avoid affecting the taste.
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk Can replace with almond milk for dairy-free version.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons crushed almonds
  • 2 tablespoons crushed pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon crushed walnuts (optional) Ideal for texture.
  • 1 teaspoon rose water (optional) Adds a floral hint.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the green tea leaves, crushed cardamom, and baking soda. Boil vigorously for 10-15 minutes until it turns deep red and develops a pink hue.
  3. Add salt and continue boiling for another 2 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat and add whole milk. Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes to achieve a creamy consistency and pink color.
  5. Strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh strainer.
Serving
  1. Garnish with crushed almonds, pistachios, walnuts, and a splash of rose water if desired.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy the rich, nutty aroma and flavor.
