Preparation
- Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a pot.
- Once the water is boiling, add 2 tablespoons of Kashmiri green tea and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
- Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After simmering, strain the tea into another pot to remove the leaves and add the spices.
- Add the whole star anise, crushed cardamom pods, and the cinnamon stick to the strained tea. Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Pour in 2 cups of whole milk and bring the mixture to a gentle boil again.
- Sweeten with sugar or honey to taste.
- Remove from heat and pour into cups.

If you have any leftover tea, let it cool and store in the refrigerator. Best consumed fresh. Adjust baking soda and spices to taste.
