- Boil the water in a saucepan.
- Add the loose black tea or tea bags to the boiling water.
- If you’re using spices, add them now and let the mixture boil for 2-3 minutes.
- Add sugar if desired and stir until it dissolves.
- Pour in the milk and let it boil for another few minutes.
- Strain the tea into cups and enjoy.

Notes
It's best to enjoy Indian tea fresh. However, if you have leftover tea, you can store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Reheat it on the stove or in the microwave before serving.
