  • 6-8 oz 70% dark chocolate, finely chopped High-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar, or to taste Adjust based on preference.

  1. Heat 2 cups of whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer around the edges, then remove it from heat.
  2. Whisk in 6-8 oz. of finely chopped dark chocolate and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Return the saucepan to medium-low heat and cook for another 30-60 seconds, whisking constantly to thicken slightly.
  4. Serve the hot chocolate in mugs, optionally topping with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Notes
