  • 1 cup 2% milk forms the base and smooth texture
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream adds velvety richness and thickness
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup lightly sweetens and adds depth
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract enhances the overall chocolate flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee or espresso powder intensifies the chocolate taste
  • Whipped cream (optional) for topping and added creaminess
  • Chocolate shavings or mini marshmallows (optional) garnish for texture and flavor

  4. Whisk in the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and instant coffee or espresso powder until well combined.
  5. Remove from heat and pour into small mugs or espresso cups.
  6. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or mini marshmallows if desired.

Notes

Serve in small cups or espresso mugs so each sip stays warm and rich. Pair with a slice of warm chocolate chip banana bread for a sweet treat. For storage, cool the leftover drink to room temperature and store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on low heat, stirring often.
