  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy your rich, velvety French hot chocolate.
