  • 3 cups chicken or vegetable broth Use low-sodium for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, substitute with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Garnish with extra cheese if desired.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Add fresh garlic for more flavor.
  • 1 tsp paprika Smoked paprika can enhance the flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, then drain.
  2. In a crockpot, combine the cooked beef, diced potatoes, onion, broth, garlic powder, and paprika.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  2. Stir in the heavy cream and cheese in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
