  • 2 cups water Use filtered water for best taste.
  • 2 bags black tea Choose your favorite brand.
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 5 pods cardamom Lightly crush the pods for more flavor.
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced Adjust according to spice preference.
Milk and Sweetener
  • 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative) Soy milk, almond milk, or oat milk can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust to taste; honey can be used as an alternative.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and sliced ginger.
  3. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Add the milk and sugar, stirring to combine.
  2. Bring back to a gentle boil, then remove from heat.
  3. Strain the tea into cups and enjoy your cozy Chai Tea!
