  • 1 cup caramel sauce Use high-quality caramel sauce for best flavor.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts) Can substitute with other nuts as desired.
For the Frosting
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure the cream cheese is softened for smooth frosting.
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Salt for sprinkling (optional) Sprinkle on top for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix package instructions. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Prepare the box cake mix as directed on the package.
  3. Fold in the caramel sauce and chopped nuts into the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for the time specified on the box.
Frosting
  1. While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the cream cheese with the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Assembly and Serving
  1. Once the cake is baked and cooled, frost it with the cream cheese frosting.
  2. Drizzle additional caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with salt if desired.
  3. Slice and serve at room temperature, optionally with whipped cream or extra caramel sauce.
