  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Sprinkled over the mixture.

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour Or use whole wheat flour for a healthier option.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture. Stir to combine.
  6. Add the flour and mix until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 4x8 inch loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
