For the Hot Chocolate
  • 2 cups whole milk Use whole milk for best creaminess.
  • 100 g dark chocolate, finely chopped Chop finely to melt faster.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Optional, adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • Whipped cream For serving, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat until warm, but not boiling.
  2. Add the chopped dark chocolate to the warm milk, whisking until fully melted and combined.
  3. Stir in sugar to taste and the vanilla extract.
  4. Continue to whisk until the hot chocolate is smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour into cups and top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes
