For the Breading
  • 1 cup Flour All-purpose flour
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs Panko bread crumbs recommended for extra crispiness
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Can be adjusted to taste
For the Mozzarella Sticks
  • 8 sticks String cheese sticks Cut into halves or thirds
For Dipping
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce For serving

Preparation
  1. Cut the string cheese into halves or thirds, depending on your desired size.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Dip each cheese stick first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat it in the bread crumb mixture.
Cooking
  1. Place the coated cheese sticks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  2. Cook in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes
