Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices slices of thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread) Thick slices of bread hold the egg and cheese nicely.
  • 2 large eggs Eggs can be adjusted for preference on texture.
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.) Experiment with different cheeses for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional) Lightly buttering the bread adds flavor.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • Fresh parsley or chives (optional) For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly butter one side of each bread slice and press a well into the center of each slice.
  3. Crack one egg into the center of each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges of the bread slices or over the egg whites.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melted.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot.
